William Charles "Wild Bill" DeTamble age 80, of Boone passed away Friday February 14, 2025, at Amorem Hospice.

He was born December 23, 1944, in Buffalo, New York. A son of the late Charles and Mary Jane DeTamble and was a retired professor.

He is survived by his wife, Yuerong Liu DeTamble of Boone; two sons, Jonathan William DeTamble and wife Emily of Charlotte, North Carolina and Jack Wade DeTamble of Missoula, Montana; one daughter, Laura Lynn Wade; one sister, Nancy DeTamble of Park City, Utah and one brother, Paul DeTamble of Franktown, Colorado

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard DeTamble..
