Thomas Roger Mallard, 89, loving husband and father, passed away November 7th, 2023. Tom was born March 27, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan.

He is survived by his children, James Mallard, Rick Mallard, John Mallard and wife Pamela Mallard and Tom's brother, Bud Mallard, grandchildren, Amber Maze, Connor Mallard, and David Mallard and wife Clara Beth Mallard, great grandchildren, Serena Mallard, Levi Maze, and Brianna Mallard. He was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Carolyn Mallard, in 2022.

Tom was a man of many interests. He was a private in the Army in his early years. He was VP of the Mallard Pharmaceutical Company in Detroit, Michigan for many years. He had a realtor business and was a past commodore at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club in south Florida. They enjoyed several sail boat trips to the Bahamas.

Tom and Carolyn divided their time between their home in Tallahassee, Florida, and farm in Deep Gap, North Carolina. Their farm brought him much joy – taking care of farm animals, raising Morgan horses, growing a garden - there was always something to do. Theirs was a noisy house with him and Carolyn raising 5 boys. While life brought them much joy it also brought them deep sadness too. Tom and Carolyn were proceeded in passing by their sons, Joel, David, and Scott.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The service will follow at 11:00 AM.
