Teresa Tompkins Delp, age 75, of Boone, passed away January 1, 2022, at Watauga Medical Center with her children and sister by her side.

Terri (as she was known) was loved by many. She was a dear friend who made everyone around her laugh with her sense of humor. Terri was often seen wearing funny t-shirts and sporting something tie dye or with cats. She had a passion for the Lion Club that she was a member of and loved to help others whenever she could.

Terri was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Roof Tompkins, her father, Stanley B. Tompkins, and her sister, Debra Sue Tompkins.

She is survived by her sister, Kelsey Hodges, her children, Chris and Shaun Delp, and her grandchildren Coty, Dillon, Jackson, Brianna, Lucas, and Savanna. Terri was also like a mother to Dolly Reaves and is survived by her family which includes her husband Joey, and children, Andrew, Nathaniel, and Dakota.

Special thanks to her church family and those who worked to help care for her in these final years: Alisha Broce, Becky Critcher, Corianne Moore and Yukari Wallace. Terri's departure leaves a deep void in many of our lives.

We will celebrate her reunion with friends and family who have gone before her. Her memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (604 Poplar Grove Rd, Boone) this Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11am.
