James Theodore "Ted" Mackorell,Jr., age 46, of 626 Windwood Lane, Boone, died Monday morning, November 14, 2005, at his residence.

Mr. Mackorell is survived by his wife, Dr. Stacy Conn of the home; one son, Andrew Mackorell and one daughter, Ashley Mackorell, both of Greensboro; one brother, Tom Mackorell and wife Julie of Johnson City, Tennessee; his parents, James Theodore Mackorell, Sr. and wife June Andrews Mackorell of Chapel Hill and two nephews, Will and John Mackorell, both of Johnson City, Tennessee. Ted is further survived by the Conn family, in particular his mother-in-law, Sally Conn and sister-in-law, Robin Conn Franklin, who devoted themselves to his care.

Funeral services for Mr. Ted Mackorell will be conducted Wednesday morning, November 16, 2005, at 11:00 o'clock, at Boone United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Minister Randy Covalt and Minister Alan Smith. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock, at Boone United Methodist Church.
