Steven Thomas
Lowry
Dec 7, 1951 — Jun 9, 2024
Laurel Bloomery
Steven Thomas Lowry, age 72, of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee went to rest eternally with his Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, June 9, 2024, at home with his loving wife of 48 years and his Great Pyrenees "Duke" at his side.
He was born December 7, 1951, in Detroit Michigan, a son of the late Thomas Pinkerton Lowry and Melva Jean Kimmel Lowry. He enlisted after High School in the United States Air Force, during that time he was a road maintenance specialist and construction worker. During his working years he was a welder, construction worker, logger, did farrier work, and had his own carpet cleaning and flooring installation business. He attended Fountain of Life Bible Church in Johnson City, Tennessee where he was a member of the motorcycle ministry. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, his horses, riding his motorcycle, and after retirement, his cabin in the woods. After a visit or talking to anyone he never liked saying goodbye, but instead he'd say, "Bye for now". He will be remembered for always working hard to support his family, being a loving Husband, Father, and proud Poppa. He loved all of his family. He was very sentimental, loved photographs, and making memories, but most of all he loved Jesus. His favorite bible verse was John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
