Ryan Allen "Possum" Mullis age 38, of Trade, passed away December 24, 2022, in Raleigh.

He was born September 11, 1984, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of Proffitt's Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Kisiah of Trade; his father, Anthony Mullis of Monroe, North Carolina; stepfather, Ronald Kisiah of Monroe, North Carolina; one sister, Tayler Kisiah of Kingsport, Tennessee; one step-sister, Ashley Kisiah of Charlotte, North Carolina; three uncles, Duane Mullis and wife Sandra of Monroe, North Carolina; Steve Mullis and wife, Cheryl McCurry of Pedley, California; and Stephen Mullis of Charlotte, North Carolina; three aunts, Pam McCurry of Nashville; Cathy Hawkins of Charlotte; and Cynthia Porter and husband, Terry, of Monroe, North Carolina; and a special friend, Brent Presnell. He is also survived by several cousins in Charlotte, Monroe, and California.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carolyn McCracken, his paternal grandparents, Wilburn, and Velma Mullis, one uncle, Mike McCurry, one cousin, Misty Mullis and one great uncle, L.G. McCurry.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday December 31, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Proffitt's Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Delmar James will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00, prior to the service.
