Ruth Moody Warren, age 87, of Zionville widow of the late Joe Warren, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the Foley Center.

She was born December 4, 1935 in Watauga County, NC, the daughter of the late Glenn Moody and Maude Eggers Moody.

She is survived by a son, James "Jimmy" Keith Warren and wife Carolyn of Zionville, NC, and a daughter, Sharon Tull and husband John of West Jefferson, NC, two granddaughters, Jamie Little and husband Kris of Crumpler, NC and Danielle Shook of Vilas, NC, two grandsons, Joel Cook and wife Julie of Mt. City, TN, and Jason Cook and wife Ayla of Zionville, NC, one sister, Elaine Evington and Tommy of Hickory, NC, one brother, George Moody, one sister-in-law, Hazel Moody, great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Warren, an infant daughter, Karen Warren, a brother, Glenn Moody a sister, Dorothy Goetz and her stepmother, "Mama" Eva Moody.

Funeral services for Mrs. Warren will be Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel in Boone, NC. Pastor Derick Wilson will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Medi-Home Hospice and the entire staff of The Foley Center in Blowing Rock, NC. Also a big thanks to Danielle Shook and Amy Townsend
