Rusty Frank Hicks, age 62, of Lenoir passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

He was born April 17, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio. A son of the late Mack and Ruth Wilcox Hicks. He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his son and taking him on trips in the big truck as a truck driver. He played football for Watauga High School and for Appalachian State and he enjoyed playing golf with his friends.

He is survived by his son, Colter Hicks and wife Bethany; one sister, Mary Hicks Hoper; and one brother, Edward Hicks and wife Pat. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by his brother, Dusty G. Hicks.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12:30 until 2:00 at Hollar and Green, 230 Cabbage Row Drive in Boone for family and friends to come and share stories and memories.

The family respectfully request no food and flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the donors choice.
