Richard Watson, age 85, of Boone passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his home.

He was born December 14, 1938, in Miami, Florida. A son of the late Keller and Celia Watson, and was a retired teacher.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Watson; one daughter, Rhonda Watson both of Boone; and his granddaughter, Celia Marie Jackson of Knoxville.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Jackson.
