Phyllis A. Johnson, age 88, of Boone passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Glenbridge Health and Rehab.

She was born March 31, 1934, in Watauga County. A daughter of the late Ralph and Selma Baird Johnson.

She is survived by one sister, Nell Johnson of Boone, one brother, R.C. Johnson of Boone a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens. Reverend Gary Lawrence will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rutherwood Baptist Church, 142 Done Hayes Road, Boone, North Carolina 28607.
