Payge Miller age 87, of Deep Gap went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

He was born April 20, 1936, in Watauga County. A son of the late Emory and Clara Cook Miller. He was the owner and operator of Miller Trucking and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Shirley Miller of Deep Gap, sons, Chris Miller of Deep Gap, and Blake Miller and wife Brenda of Pennsylvania, grandsons, Ethan Miller of Boone, and Grayson Miller of Deep Gap, one great-grandson, Colton Grey, sister, Hava Brewer of Lenoir, sister, Louise Williams and husband Don of Kirkland, Ohio, brother, Sam Miller and wife Wilma of Boone, sister, Belva McGlamry of Wilkesboro, sister, Jean Hunsucker and husband Ken of Wilkesboro, brother, David Miller and wife Vicky of Wilkesboro, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by, one sister, Freda Myers, and five brothers, Howard Miller, Bob Cook, Brice Miller, Bailey Miller, and Keith Miller.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Eric Proffitt, Reverend Derick Hodges, Reverend Burl Greer and Reverend Cecil Hamby will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00, prior to the service.
