Violet Martina Tolbert Ford, age 78, of Blowing Rock passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at her home.

She was born March 28, 1945, in Caldwell County. A daughter of the late Jiles Frank and Lois Virgina Shoemake Tolbert. She was a retired teacher and member of Laurel Fork Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Francis Earl Ford, one daughter, Aundrea Potter, and husband Kevin, one son, Eric Ford and wife Dena, grandchildren, Jacodie and Mitchell Keen, Rodger and Maria Potter, Trowa and Curtis Potter, Jeremiah, Kyleigh, and Madison Ford; and three great-grandchildren, Lane and Tuff Keen, Kaidence Potter. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerold Tolbert and Travis and wife Paula, one sister, Genevieve, one brother-in-law, Kenneth Blackburn, one niece, Lynita Tolbert and one nephew, Christopher Blackburn.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday October 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Daniel Featherstone and Pastor Derick Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Craig Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00, prior to the service.
