Keith Perry, age 78, of Boone passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Watauga Medical Center.

He was born September 19, 1945, in Watauga County. A son of the late General Blanco Perry and Genevieve Carpenter Perry. He was retired from Samaritans Purse, was a member of Laurel Fork Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, and served on various committees. He enjoyed fishing, playing basketball and softball, and loved gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Lindel Miller Perry of Boone, one daughter, Leigh Ann Perry, of Boone and two sons, Nathan Perry of Boone and Shawn Perry of Boone, one sister, Marsha Thomas of Silverstone, one sister-in-law, Joann Perry of Asheville and one brother-in-law, Chester Calhoun of Raleigh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Shelia Perry, two sisters,Theda Lail and Myrtle Calhoun, two brothers, Odell Perry and Joe Perry and two brothers-in-law, William Thomas and Willard Lail.

Funeral services for Keith Perry will be conducted Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Laurel Fork Baptist Church. Dr. Daniel Featherstone will officiate. Burial will follow in Laurel Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 7, at Laurel Fork Baptist Church.
