Karina Iveth Thomas passed unexpectedly February 2nd 2024 at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. She had been taken to the hospital on January 28th due to complications with her liver. She had been diagnosed with M.S. in the early 2000s.

Karina was born on April 29th, 1981. She had a great love for animals and always had various pets. She enjoyed projects around the house, music and her favorite TV shows. Karina had a charismatic personality and could make friends with anyone. Karina was raised in church. She was very loved by her husband and family.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.

Karina is survived by loving husband Mark Thomas, mother Rosa Buff, and siblings- Darren Buff, Genei Pruitt, Wendy Kanupp, Dorothy Buff, and family. Karina was preceded in death by Father, Barry Gene Buff.

Receiving will take place February 16th from 3pm to 4pm and funeral will take place from 4pm to 5pm at Valley View Baptist Church in Hickory, NC.  If people wish to assist they can donate to Valley View Baptist church or to a local animal shelter.
