Mrs. Karen Kay Mast, age 61, of Patterson passed away and entered her heavenly home on July 12, 2026, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Mast was born July 15, 1964, in Meridian Mississippi to the late Billy Glenn Berry and Emogene Greer Whisnant. She was a loving and kind woman with a generous heart who was always willing to help others. She loved cooking for family and friends and found joy in sharing meals with those she cared about. She will be remembered as a loving woman and wife. Her warm smile, laughter, and caring spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her father and mother Mrs. Mast was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Berry and Bill Berry and one nephew, little Bill Berry.

Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Mast include her loving husband or 16 years, Clarence Mast of the home, sisters Sharon Wynn of Collettsville, Crystal Reyes and husband Pedro of Taylorsville and one aunt, Nancy Berry of Boone. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
