Judy Lane Dancy, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Jonas Ridge Assisted Living where she was given excellent care.

Judy was born November 21, 1948, in Watauga County. She grew up in the beautiful community of Silverstone, "Tater Hill." Judy was the daughter of the late Stanley and Dora Lee Dancy.

Judy graduated from Watauga High School and immediately studied at a cosmetology school in Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon receiving her license, Judy was invited to join Ruby's Beauty Shop in Boone where she excelled for several years. She also worked as an in- home caregiver for several families, including her loving parents.

Judy is survived by one sister, Lois D. Norris and husband, Gene, of Foscoe, J.B. Dancy and fiance' Connie Walters of Boone; Gary Dancy and wife, Brenda, of Silverstone. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by one sister, Annabelle Dancy Hughes.

Burial will be private. The family would like to thank everyone at Jonas Ridge Assisted Living for the love and wonderful care that Judy was given.
