Deep Gap

Obituary

Joshuah Nathanael Bryan, age 25, of Deep Gap, NC. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 26, 2023. Josh was born in Boone, NC, on July 7, 1997. From the day he was born, he had so much energy and was full of life. His smile could light up any room he walked in. They say the brightest stars burn the fastest. Josh was an amazing light with a heart full of compassion and love. He loved his family and his friends with everything he had. Josh also loved the Lord. He grew up attending church and enjoyed serving as an acolyte and on mission trips. He was a hard worker and could fix or make anything. He loved cooking, fishing, building, and doing anything with his hands. He was smart, talented, and resourceful. He loved growing up in the Blue Ridge mountains and being outdoors. He always loved coming back up hwy421 where you can see the mountains come into sight, and he would always say, "there are my mountains." Josh will be forever remembered and dearly missed by his loved ones and everyone whose lives he's touched. He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Stamey, and stepfather, Jonathan Stamey, of Deep Gap, NC. One sister Alivya Stamey of Deep Gap, Nc., two stepbrothers, Michael (Savannah) Stamey of Boone, NC, Nathan Stamey of Deep Gap, NC., and many more family and friends. Josh is preceded in death by his father, Noah Bryan, his grandparents, Arthur Olin, Nathan & Louise Bryan, and Cousin Brock Doberstein. Josh's life will be celebrated at Grace Lutheran Church in Boone, Nc, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Pastor Steve Troisi will officiate.
