Jeffery Lenn Bryan, age 60, died Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital.

He was born February 23, 1963, in Watauga County. A son of the late William S. Bryan and Agnes Grogan Bryan.

It is true that, "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world"-Dr. Suess. That's how I felt about my dad. He was my best friend, and in his worst moments, he could still make me laugh. He was a kind person, and he was a loving person. Just this year, he fed the baby ducks that were born near his house every day. My dad taught me what love is. At his sickest, he cared more about me than he cared about himself. My dad never let me down. He was there for me always, and I know he will still always be there for me because he will always be a part of me for as Jack Thorne wrote, "Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch."

He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Bryan, one sister, Ethel Pope, one brother, Sam Bryan and wife Ellouise, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Bryan, Glenn Bryan and John Bryan and two sisters, Virginia Durham and Gaye Norris.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Proffit's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Rick Thomason will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel from 12:30 until 1:30, prior to the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
