James Kevin Mercereau, age 61 of Sevierville, Tennessee formerly of Boone, NC, was carried home to heaven in the loving arms of Jesus on January 7, 2023.  He was a true testament for the Lord in every aspect. Kindness, honesty, humility, integrity, compassion, and love radiated through his essence.  Anyone that knew Kevin knew how much he loved the Lord and his family.  His family has peace in knowing that he is completely healed in the arms of Jesus with his daughter Ashley. An inspiration to all those around him and a hero to his children, Kevin will be remembered for his strong faith, kindness, and prime example he set for his family, neighbors, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving daughter Ashley Mercereau Greene.  Father-in-law, Lewis Burkett and Mother-in-law, Peggy Main Burkett.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years: Beth Burkett Mercereau; son: Tyler Shane Mercereau; daughter: Megan Mercereau Huskey (John Paul); grandchildren: Gideon, Levi, and Emma Huskey; Brother:  Mike (Tamera) Mercereau; Brother-in-law:  Frank (Kathy) Burkett; Special family: Amanda (Travis) Cornett, and several special friends and family members.

Per Kevin's request, there will be no formal services held.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Parkway Baptist Church (320 Allensville Rd, Sevierville, TN 37876) or Dyson Grove Baptist Church ( 8483 Roan Creek Rd, Butler, TN 37640)
