James Arville Hardy, Jr., age 60, of Purlear, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023, at his home.

He was born November 30, 1962, in Watauga County. A son of James Arville Hardy, Sr. and Carolyn Presnell Hardy.

He is survived by one daughter, Leslie Lewis and husband Jamie of Laurel Springs, two grandchildren, Hailey Snow Hartzog and Clint James Lewis, one sister, Judy Hardy of Purlear, one brother, Jerry Hardy of Watauga County, two nephews, Justin Greene of Wilkesboro and Chris Greene of Ashe County and a special friend, Eddie Dare of Watauga County.

Graveside service and burial will be held at Miller's Family Cemetery in Laurel Springs on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 4:00 with Bro. Jamie Lewis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help with the funeral expenses.
