Caitlin Wingler and Jonathan Lane sadly announce the passing of their beloved son, Holden Reign Lane. He was born on May 19, 2026, and passed away on May 19, 2026. In his short life he proved he was a fighter and leaves behind many people who love and cherish him. Many tears have been shed, but the family has unshakable faith that they will be reunited with Holden and other beloved loved ones in heaven one day.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandmother Teresa Kay Wingler, aunt Courtney Wingler, uncle Ethan Adams, cousins Kaeton Adams and Addison Adams, uncle Justus Wingler, aunt Chelsea Wingler, uncle Andrew Howell, aunt Cadence Wingler, aunt Olivia Sheets, paternal grandparents Robert and Maureen Lane, aunt Rebekah Lane, great grandmother Mary Thomson, great uncle Lawrence Lane, and great aunt Pamela Lane.

He is preceded in death by maternal great grandparents Darell Wingler and Ida "Susie" Wingler, paternal great-great-grandfather James "Bud" Edwards, great grandmother Gina Lane, and great grandfather Ehrlich Thomson.

A butterfly pauses, bringing color and joy to our world, if only for a moment, leaving us with a story to share of its beauty. We Love You Holden!

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday May 25, 2026, at North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church. Pastor Seth Miller will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.

Interment will be private.

The family respectfully request that black not be worn.
