Helen F. Ramsey, age 81, of Banner Elk, passed away Monday January 2, 2023, at her home.

She was born February 21, 1941, in Rutherford County. A daughter of the late J.D. and Susie Jones McCombs. She was retired from Cannon Memorial Hospital as a nurse after 47 years and was a member of Arbordale Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband Bobby J. Ramsey of Banner Elk, one daughter, Karen Rominger and husband Bobby of Banner Elk, one son, Robert Ramsey and wife Sandy of Banner Elk, three granddaughters, Kristen Hopson and husband Chad of Roaring Creek, Karla Ramsey and husband Josh Wellnitz of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania, Kelsey Henson and husband Ryan of Banner Elk, and one grandson, Cody Rominger of Banner Elk, four great-grandchildren, Savannah, Perry, Milo and Easton, five sisters, Betty Brown and husband Phifer, Bonnie Epley and husband Junior, Julie Brown and husband Tommy, Wanda Howell and husband Boyd all of Morgantopn and Carolyn Mitchell of Nebo, one brother, Johnny McCombs and wife Carole of Nebo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Arbor Dale Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Smith Family Cemetery. Dr. Tee Gatewood and Pastor Tim Ramsey will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00, prior to the service.
