Mr. Gregory Darryel Reece, age 53 of Elk Park, NC passed away on Monday April 25, 2023.

Greg also known as "Clydesdale" is a member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. He has a love for Peterbilt Trucks and collecting all things antique. He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Brooke his niece was his heart, he loved that little girl more than anything.

He was born August 2, 1969, in Watauga County, the son of Darryel and Margaret Arnette Reece of Elk Park, NC.

Greg was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Ted and Ruth Reece and his Maternal Grandparents, Boyd and Rachel Arnette.

Along with his parents, he is survived by a sister, Nicole Shomaker and husband Travis of Sugar Grove, NC, a niece, Brooke Shomaker of Sugar Grove, NC, several aunts, uncles and cousins, numerous friends as well as his beloved dog "Hank."

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, April 30, 2023, in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Derick Wilson and Pastor Ray Greene officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mount Gilead Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 on Sunday, prior to the service.
