Gary Robert Hoyle, age 74, of Boone, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Glenbridge Health and Rehab.

He was born March 13, 1949, in Jamestown, New York. A son of the late Robert Irving and Harriet Kelly Hoyle.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Kemmer Hoyle of Boone, two daughters, Angela Turrisi and husband Joe of Ashe County and Jessica Horney and husband Danny of Watauga County, one son, Clayton Hoyle  and wife  Annetta of Carroll County, Georgia, one sister, Christina Glover and husband Bob of Guyton, Georgia, nine grandchildren, Thomas, Christopher, Matthew, Heather, Luke, Aaron, Cassandra, Elizabeth & Danielle, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by a nephew, David Miles.

Funeral services for Gary Robert Hoyle will be conducted Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 7:00 at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Scott Andrews and Mr. Doyle Ward will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Hebron Colony, 356 Old Turnpike Road Boone, NC  28607   or  the Watauga Gun Club.
