Our precious sister, aunt and loving friend went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday December 30,2022. Heaven welcomed another Greeter. Our Hearts are broken but will be mended when we join Faye and our loved ones.

Faye Church was a member of Laurel Fork Baptist Church where she was the greeter. She was a retired hairdresser of 35 plus years. She graduated from Lacarnes Beauty College in Charlotte, NC. She was President of the North Carolina Hairdresser Association. She served as substitute teacher in the Cosmetology Departments of Watauga High School and Caldwell Community College.

She served as a volunteer to the Cancer and Heart Association.  She taught Sunday School and was a teacher of the RA's, Perkinsville Baptist Church, Boone NC. Faye was a caregiver to her husband Luther. Her mission and ministry were sending cards.  She was the ultimate encourager and friend to all. To know her was to love her and she made sure you knew she genuinely cared and loved you.

She is survived by two sisters, Fern Casey of Boone and Priscilla McCrary of Lenoir, three brothers, Buster Henderson and wife Marcella of Boone, David Henderson of Montana and Ray Henderson of Hickory and special friends, George and Laura Snyder, Pace Holding, John and Lee Dunlap, John and Lennis Greene, Myra Scoggins and Donna Howell (adopted daughters). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
