Fairylee D. Coffey, age 84, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 16, 2023.

She was born December 21, 1938, in Cleveland County, North Carolina. A daughter of the later Crowder Garmen and Lila Minnie Loveless Davis. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a pastors wife and taught Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by one daughter, Lavena Dodd Moe and husband Arthur of Grassy Creek, two sons, Kevin Dean Coffey of Boone and Michael Kenneth Coffey of Gainesville, Georgia, seven grandchildren, Derrick Cook and wife Ashley of Cherryville, Dustin Cook and wife Jana of Newton, Alena Dodd of Grassy Creek, Carla Coffey and boyfriend Sean Wilson of Statesville, Casey Trivette and husband Corey of Union Grove, Jasmine Coffey Whitaker of Surprise, Arizona and Logan Coffey of Surprise, Arizona, nine great-grandchildren, Ki Gregg, Jada Gregg, Alexis Cook, Gavin Cook, Hayley Cook, McKenna Cook, Skylar Trivette, Kinley Trivette and Skyla Whitaker and one sister, Mozell Davis Justice.

In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dean Coffey, one son, Nathan A. Coffey, four sisters, Dorothy Grigg, Eunice McKinney, Sylvia Grigg and Rachel Costner, four brothers, Franklin, Hershel, Glenn and Norman Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Laurel Fork Baptist Church, 235 Laurel Fork Church Rd, Boone, North Carolina. Interment will follow in Laurel Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Daniel Featherstone, Dr. Eddie Grigg and Reverend Steven Leashomb will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00, prior to the service.
