Donald Keith Kebodeaux age 94, of Boone passed away January 7, 2026, at Asheville VA Medical Center.

Mr. Kebodeaux was born on August 27, 1931, in Thrall, Texas. A son of the late Curlee and Opal Kebodeaux. He was from Pasadena, Texas and later moved to Boone. He was a Korean War veteran. He founded and was president of a 100-person company for 25 years in Houston Texas called First Financial. He attended college at the University of Houston.

He is survived by one son, Mark Kebodeaux and wife, Cindy of Mandeville Louisiana, one daughter, Vickie Kennedy and husband, Don of Morganton and formerly of Blowing Rock; four grandchildren, Danielle, Dalton, Trevor and Casey; nine great-grandchildren, Brennan, Corbin, Blakley, London, Lane, Layton, Liam, Madison, and Hallie.

A family service will be conducted in Houston, Texas.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children Attn: Office of Development 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, Florida 33607.
