Dolores was born on March 10, 1933, and passed away on September 30, 2023. She was a resident of Boone, North Carolina at the time of her passing. Dolores retired from Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company.

Dolores and her husband Archie began visiting the North Carolina high country in the 1970's and fell in love with the Boone community. In 1976 they purchased a summer home, fondly known as "The Round House" and permanently moved to Boone in 1993 and joined Rutherwood Baptist Church. Dolores enjoyed being an active member of the church.

Dolores enjoyed her summer visits from her sons, daughters-in-law, and granddaughters in Boone. Many memories were made playing card games and sitting on the front porch.

Dolores was a devoted and loving wife, mother, aunt, grandma, and great grandma. She is survived by two sons Billy and Scotty, daughters-in-law Judy and Terri, granddaughters Kristi, Angie, Missy, and Becky, grandson-in laws Doug, Chris, and Jon, great-grandsons Reef, Rai, and Archie, and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband Archie, son Bobby, and daughter-in-law Kathleen.

Private services for family and close friends will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Rutherwood Baptist Church. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Rutherwood Baptist Church, 142 Don Hayes Road, Boone, NC 28607.
