Daniel Bruce Main, age 88, of Boone passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at Watauga Medical Center.

He was born January 18, 1935, in Johnson County, Tennessee. A son of the late Linville Lewis Main and Sarah Louise Main.

He is survived by two sons, Roy Main and wife Debbie and Lewis main and wife Sue and one daughter, Janet Hicks and husband Jimmy, eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Emily C. Main, one daughter, Gail Isaacs and one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Vanderpool Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Burl Greer and Reverend Billy Norris will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hampton Funeral Service to assist with the funeral expenses.
