Charlotte Manning Greene age 82 of Boone passed away Saturday October 17, 2026, at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living.

She was born January 3, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia. The daughter of the late Clinton Duncan Manning and Maudie Gray Manning.

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. (Proverbs 31:10) A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. (Proverbs 31:30-31).” These qualities represented the true moral strength, faithfulness, and character of an exceedingly rare woman, whose smile and steadfast faith to the Lord, was far more precious than the finest jewels. Even as dementia took her memories, it never touched the love she gave and received.

She is survived by her husband Larry Greene of Boone; one son, Jon Greene and wife Melony of Deep Gap; one sister, LaDonna Sawyer and husband Ken of Hoschton, Georgia; two cousins, Georgia Leary of Perry, Georgia and Gloria Gray of Casper, Wyoming. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father and mother she was preceded by one son, Larry William Greene, Jr. and one brother, Clinton Duncan Manning III.

There are no services scheduled at this time.
