Camron "Cam"
Logan Anderson
Jul 7, 1992 — Aug 11, 2023
Wilkesboro
Camron "Cam" Logan Anderson, my darling, beautiful, precious baby boy, born July 7, 1992, to his mama, Renae Grove and his father, Kenneth Anderson, mournfully passed away August 11, 2023, from horrific injuries sustained from a moving vehicle.
Cam was only recently 31 years old and endured exactly 31 brutal, hellish suffering days as well. My strong and courageous Viking boy was fighting with unbelievable, supernatural strength to live. I have so many things to say, to write, but it is impossible with so much sorrow. Devastation is not a big enough word to validate the pain and loss. The real Cam, my sweet baby was truly sweet, always reaching, grasping for love throughout his brief life, regardless of how much I provided as his mama.
He struggled in life, he made wrong choices, but he also was tender, kindhearted, so very funny, and talented. He had the best laugh, sense of humor and a unique mountain country boy, style all his own.
Cam loved the river, swimming, walking in the woods, nature, standing with "enjoyment" out in the freezing blizzards. Cam loved all kinds of music, he could sing and dance, he loved art, drawing, animals, good meals, especially his mama's home cooking, babies and feeling really loved. "Cambo" as my mama called him, loved 4-wheeling, anything outdoors, teaching his son, Bo Levi, who is 9, how to ride a bike, drive a 3 or 4-wheeler, watching movies together, many a comedy we shared as family in life.
Growing up and throughout life, we played in creeks, lakes, pools, and Cam always wanted to go find a waterhole, swim, and skip rocks which he was the best skipper, and even taught Bo Levi as well.
On July 4th, we did that very thing, my two boys and me, skipping rocks, doing fireworks, riding in the country and bonding. How eternally grateful I am for that. What you know or didn't know of Cam is up to you, but his soul WAS truly gentle. If he did something wrong, he had a conscience about it and struggled through his mistakes, always deep down wanting to do things right and good. Cam was a gentle giant lost inside himself, but still there if you were fortunate enough to discover this about him. He didn't show the real Cam a lot, but the real Cam was amazing. It breaks my heart as his mama that most times he didn't trust that thought, but Cam most assuredly was amazing.
I ask everyone to read John 8:7 and forgive my boy his trespasses and know that my boy believed in Jesus and though I grieve, I know he is with Him, and he has no more pain emotionally, mentally, and certainly not physically. Cam also leaves his older sister, Cassie behind, his nephew, Siol Alake, Evelyn and family, Art, cousins, many dear friends, aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces. So many people called, showed up, texted, or all three, including excellent care at Baptist Hospital.
Cam just didn't have a clue or realize the depth of love and concern for him. He needed not to search for what he already had. I know that Cam has reunited with my mother, Lois, Granny Hollars, and William and all our loved ones that went before him. I'm sure they had prepared a way or carried him into heaven, straight to our loving, forgiving, nurturing, healing, heavenly father. My handsome, strong, baby boy, I can never, ever replace you. Lord Jesus cover us in mercy with this maddening heartbreak and saturate him in glorious, healing love he so desired and now deserves. I was honored you shared him with me at all. May he rest in my soul till our reunion on high as his heartbeat started within mine. I love you, my boy…so, achingly, so…..Always, Mama
Please, in his memory, I ask for something different… I ask you to mentor someone you can, whatever way you can; be a big brother, big sister, and hold their hand, no matter the cost emotionally, mentally, physically, or timewise. Someone needs that. Reach out in Cam's honor…don't look away or walk away and ignore…it could change things and you in wonderful ways.
Cam's memorial will be held at the Blowing Rock Conference Center, 1818 Goforth Road, Blowing Rock, NC 28605, at the Shuford Outdoor Chapel area, weather permitting on September 3, 2023, at 5:00 o'clock pm.
