Bruce Comer, age 74, of Elk Park passed away Sunday, Monday, June 5, 2023, at Glenbridge Health and Rehab.

He was born July 28, 1948, in York County, South Carolina, a son of the late Lewis and Grace Corley Comer. He was retired from AT&T, a member of New Beginnings Church and was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Hartis and husband Brandon of Indian Trail, one grandson, Clay Hartis of Indian Trail, one sister, Susan Blackwelder and husband Sid of Conway, South Carolina, two nephews, Mark Blackwelder and Brent Comer and wife Brandi, and two nieces,Christie Bryant and husband Patrick and Holley Wallace and husband Mike.

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by his wife Dena Lawrence Comer and one brother, Phil Comer.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Charlie Martin will officiate.

The family  will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00, prior to the service.
