Betty Jo Norris, age 96 of Flat Springs Community Elk Park passed away Wednesday August 26, 2026, at Genbridge Health and Rehab.

She was born October 19, 1929, in Sullivan County, Tennessee to the late Elbert and Mayme Henry. She was a member of Flat Springs Baptist Church, the oldest of eight children and she was a homemaker and a Gardner.

In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph Lee Norris, and her second husband Gilbert R. Norris, three brothers, Carl, Donals and Bobby Henery, two sisters, Jane Johnson and Reva Henry, one brother-in-law, Charles Johnson and three sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Henry, Jean Henry and Barbara Henry.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Norris and wife Debbie and David Norris all of Flat Springs Community, two grandchildren, Roger Lee Norris and wife Jennifer of Abington, Virginia and Erica Johnson and husband Raborn of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She is also survived by two brothers, EB Henry and Jerry Henry and wife Nancy of Blountville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday August 29, 2026, at Flat Springs Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Flat Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Brian Miller will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00, prior to the service.
