Benjamin Calderwood Spence, age 34, of Boone, passed away Wednesday May 17, 2023.

A heart full of kindness and love that could not be contained in this world, a love of nature that flowed through him like the breezes and water he would often surround himself with, and the desire to help others whenever possible…these are elements forming the essence of Benjamin Spence.

He will live forever in the hearts of his many friends and family: mother Barbara Calderwood, brother Mathew Spence, aunts and uncles Cindy Calderwood, Scott and Maria Calderwood, Holly Mills, Debbie Spence, nephews Andrew and Josh Spence, along with numerous others. Ben is also survived by his beloved son, Jasper James Spence, and Jasper's mother Kirstin Kidd.
