Obituary

Austin Kirkpatrick Burke had an artist's soul. Some of his passions included designing
streetwear, making beats, listening to music and attending live shows. He loved walking the
New York City streets with his beloved partner and dog. He loved cuddles with his cats and
enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking something delicious. He made many friends around the
world on travels with his mother. Austin was an encouraging friend who saw people for who they
really were. He was successful in the world of finance while living in the city of his childhood
imaginings. He loved hanging out with his family, laughing out loud and making people laugh.
Born at the beach, he came into the world at 4:11am on March 2,1996 at Holmes Regional
Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.

Raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Austin attended Watauga High School. He loved
snowboarding, being outdoors, playing guitar, drawing and building models, and creating
fireworks. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was here where he met his sweetheart, Lilly.

Austin died in his home at the age of 26 in Stuyvesant Heights, Brooklyn, NY the morning of
October 5th, 2022.
Surviving family members include his mother, Serena Crawford and her
partner Jason Brown, his father Patrick Burke and his wife Alyse; his soul mate Lilly Downing,
their cats Kiki, Kenpachi, and Kira and their dog, Jeffy; step-siblings, Browning and Jack;
