Harvey L. Trivette

Harvey L. Trivette, age 85, of Jefferson Road, Boone, passed away Friday morning, December 6, 2013, at Watauga Medical Center.

Mr. Trivette was born August 15, 1928 in Watauga County, a son of the late David and Elizabeth Rominger Trivette. He was a retired manager for the Winn Dixie Grocery Company and a member of Proffit's Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Trivette served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Mr. Trivette is survived by his wife, Stella Hodgson Trivette of the home; one daughter, Dottie Morsette of Boone; three sons, Mike Trivette and wife Brenda of Boone, Danny Trivette and wife Bonnie of Cary, and Allen Trivette and wife Jane of Boone. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services for Harvey L. Trivette will be conducted Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2013, at 3:00 o'clock, at Proffit's Grove Baptist Church. The body will lie in state, at the church, from 1:00 until 3:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Reverend Delmar James and Reverend Herbert McCoy. Military graveside rites and burial, provided by American Legion Post 130 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 90, will follow in Meat Camp Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, from 1:00 until 3:00 o'clock, at the church, prior to the service. At other times friends may call at the residence, 583 Jefferson Road, Boone.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
