Jonathan Adam Mayberry, age 22, of Erwin Lane, Newland, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at his home.

Jonathan was born September 23, 1990 in Avery County, the son of David and Madge Erwin Mayberry. He was a sales associate for Carolina West Wireless and a volunteer firefighter for the Frank Volunteer Fire Department in Avery County. Jonathan was a member of Lewis Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Jennifer Woodruff and husband Andrew of Linville; his maternal grandparents, Walt and Esther Erwin of Minneapolis, North Carolina, and his paternal grandmother, Faye Mayberry of Elk Park. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Mayberry.

Memorial services for Jonathan Adam Mayberry will be conducted Saturday morning, December 29, 2012, at 11:00 o'clock, at Lewis Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Minneapolis. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Shoupe.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service, at the home of his sister, Jennifer Woodruff, 525 Linhigh Drive, Newland.
